Transtijd.nl places the transgender debate in time. Many misunderstandings arise when events are taken out of sequence: the Dutch Protocol of 2011 was designed for a different group than the adolescents who presented in large numbers after 2015, and the 2024 Cass Review cannot be understood without the 2020 Bell v Tavistock case. The site maps that chronology with verifiable sources.
What you will find on transtijd.nl
- Timeline: the chronology of the debate from the first Amsterdam gender teams to after the Cass Review
- Turning points: Finland, Sweden, Bell v Tavistock and the Cass Review explained one by one
- Figures over time: referrals, age and sex ratio across the years, with sources
- The Netherlands: the Dutch Protocol, the 2014 Transgender Act, waiting lists and the Dutch position today
- Taking time: watchful waiting, desistance and how parents give time without rejecting
Every article ends with a sources block. The tone is sober and critically investigative about rapid medical transition in minors, with respect for the people concerned. The site is in Dutch.
